26 Jun The 3rd European Society of Historical Demography Conference. Pécs, 26-29 June 2019.
The European Society of Historical Demography is promoted by the Société de Démographie Historique (SDH), the Asociación de Demografía Histórica (ADEH) and the Società Italiana di Demografia Storica (SIDeS). The Society was established to foster the co-operation between scholars engaged or interested in historical demography studies in Europe, and stimulate interest in population matters in the European Union scientific programmes and agencies as well as among governments, national and international organizations, and the general public.
Following the success of the first two conferences which took place in Alghero, Italy in 2014 and in Leuven, Belgium in 2016, the 3rd conference of the ESHD is being held from 26th to 29th of June 2019 at the university of Pécs, Southern Hungary. The ESHD, the Council of ESHD, Hungarian Demographic Research Institute, the Foundation for Demographic Research, and the University of Pécs are the organizers of the conference.
